Mission
Our
vision is to be a missionary organization with the purpose of
reproducing working recovery programs and leadership training
schools in Latin America and other countries wanting to be trained
in the
Trinity Concept of recovery.
The
Trinity Concept model is comprised of a residential recovery
program, along with a recovery church, and a leadership-training
center, all under the covering of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
“The
high calling of God” for Canaan International is to follow the
pattern of the New Testament Church in creating small,
self-sustaining communities that will be “Cities of Refuge” for
those who have been in bondage to alcoholism and drug addiction.
This vision will be accomplished through:
-
Fervent prayer and reliance on the Lord
-
Integrity in all areas of the ministry
-
Commitment to team management
-
Use of
the Servant Leadership model
-
Modeling the transforming life of Jesus Christ

|
This vision is far greater
and
challenging than God’s first call to build a camp for
alcoholics and drug addicts. But we hold fast to Philippians
1:6 and remain confident that: He that hath done a
good work in us will perform it until the day of Jesus
Christ.
As
part of our overall vision, we have adopted four specific
mission objectives:
-
Raise
funding and materials support to help develop and grow
the City of Refuge network in Latin America and the
Caribbean.
-
Help facilitate the building of a network of these
effective rehabilitation-regeneration centers throughout
that region.
-
Increase domestic (US) awareness about the onslaught of
illicit drugs and alcohol in international communities.
-
Provide local (US) and overseas training and education
in areas of overcoming dysfunctional habits and
behavior.
